Dr. Brian R. Buinewicz has been practicing Plastic Surgery for over 16 years. Dr. Buinewicz received his Bachelor of Science from Villanova University and his Doctorate of Medicine degree from Jefferson Medical College. He completed his General Surgery internship and residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania, and completed his Plastic Surgery residency at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN.

Dr. Buinewicz is currently the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Abington Memorial Hospital and is also a Clinical Instructor at the Temple University School of Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Buinewicz has served as the Director of the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center for Abington Memorial Hospital which he developed, and was the Associate Medical Director for Praxis Clinical Services. He is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Dr. Buinewicz is Board certified by the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the American Board of Preventative Medicine for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. His memberships include the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Robert H. Ivy Society, and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Buinewicz is part of the Operating Room Management Committee and Institutional Review Board at Abington Memorial Hospital, as well as the Executive Committee of the Jefferson Medical College Alumni Association and the Education Committee of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Buinewicz constantly furthers his own education and the education of his peers. He is widely published and has presented at many regional and national meetings. His most recent presentations include, Reconstruction of the Heart With Cryopreserved Human Dermis (AlloDerm)" and, Correction of Inverted Nipples Using Human Dermal Matrix." His most recent publications include Acellular Cadaveric Dermis (AlloDerm): A New Alternative for Abdominal Hernia Repair" and, Mechanical Assistance in the Surgical Treatment of Massive Abdominal Pannus."

Dr. Buinewicz specializes in plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures. Common procedures he performs include facelifts, brow lifts, midface lifts, lateral brow lifts, blepharoplasty, neck lifts, abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, liposculpture, rhinoplasty, breast lifts, and breast reductions.
